What is 5G and what will it mean for you?

Superfast "fifth generation 5G" mobile internet could be launched as early as next year in some countries, promising download speeds 10 to 20 times faster than we have now.

But what difference will it really make to our lives? Will we need new phones? And will it solve the "notspot" issue for people in remote areas?

Red Arrows RAF Scampton air base to be sold off

RAF Scampton, which was also home to 617 Squadron as they prepared for the Dambusters mission in World War Two, has housed the Red Arrows since 2000.

Six hundred people currently work at the site near Lincoln.

By 2022 the Red Arrows will move to another base.

Sir Edward Leigh, Conservative MP for Gainsborough, Lincolnshire... tweeted: "Not the best way to mark the #RAF100: closing the home of the RAF Red Arrows and Dambuster squadron."

Lincolnshire's Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones said losing the base "was as serious a blow as Lincoln losing the cathedral" would be.

Strange story coming out of Fiskardo: apparently earlier today Coast Guard on Kef, Ithaki and Levkas were alerted to a burning yacht somewhere between the three islands. Allegedly, when found five nautical miles northeast of Kef there were no crew/passengers on board. Apparently the boat burnt out and sank.

Zakynthos marks record year in turtle births

The Ionian island of Zakynthos looks poised for a record-breaking year in terms of births of the endangered loggerhead sea turtle this year, data from the Archelon Society for the protection of the Caretta caretta show.

According to the Greek conservation group, 1,360 turtle nests were located and identified on the island's beaches from May to July 22, marking a rise of 139 percent compared with the same period last year, when just 545 nests were recorded.
