Gender-specific toilets to be required in non-residential buildings in England

New restaurants, offices, schools and hospitals in England will be required to have separate male and female toilets, in a move ministers say will combat growing concerns about “privacy and dignity” in gender-neutral facilities.

The law will mean newly built non-residential buildings require separate facilities, and cannot solely have “universal” lavatories.

A pair of fennec foxes have recently arrived at Exmoor Zoo.

The arrivals comes as part of a European fennec fox breeding programme.

The fennec foxes have their own purpose-built enclosure which was built two years ago, but the zoo have only just managed to acquire the foxes.

Is this the country's loneliest rabbit? RSPCA Suffolk seeks home for Poppy after 927 days in care

The RSPCA is seeking a home for what could be the country's loneliest rabbit.

Heartbroken Poppy has been in RSPCA care for 927 days, having originally entered care with her sister Lilly.

But after Lilly died from a chronic infection Poppy has been alone.

Now the bereaved bunny's only pal is a rabbit teddy bear, which she grooms and treats like her companion, say RSPCA officers.

Greece churches in Vrontados take part in annual 'rocket war'

Two churches in the Greek town of Vrontados were lit up on Saturday night, as they fired streams of rockets at each other as part of an Orthodox Easter tradition.

Throughout the annual 'rocket war', Easter mass continues inside the churches on the island of Chios.

The spectacle dates back to the 1800s - when Greece was ruled by the Ottoman empire - but now rockets are used instead of cannons.

Parts of the local area are boarded up with metal barriers, to try and protect them from fire damage.
