Sorry folks I think this is a fake even though it was on the BBC news. Therefore much worse the cat was planted on the wing. Why would the people on the plane go to the trouble of having a camera pointing towards them? Until the cat appears it's about as boring a video as you could imagine. Also the camera was aimed to the right, not centre, "coincidentally" the same side as the cat. They don't look at all surprised either. Those microlight things don't stand very high and you would see a cat as you approached. Finally the weight of a cat on a wing would affect the trim and be very noticeable, possibly even before take-off.
