Football players carry dogs from shelter onto the pitch in bid to rehouse themZenit St Petersburg’s players walked onto the pitch with dogs in their arms before their match against FC Rostov on Friday (3 December) in an attempt to get them adopted from local shelters in Russia.The heartwarming gesture was part of the ‘Dogs are better at home’ campaign, which started on 30 November, after Russia celebrated World Pet Day.Zenit wrote on a Twitter post: “The aim of the project is to highlight to the public the responsibility and care required when having a pet and to help raise funds for local dog shelters.â€
Renewing driving licences to go onlineThe procedures for the renewal of driving licenses and the issuance of copies of vehicle licenses are being digitized as part of a Transport Ministry initiative in cooperation with the Digital Governance Ministry to move services online.The service concerns professional driving licenses that are renewed every five years, as well as other driving licenses that are renewed every three years if the holder is over the age of 65.The licence can be printed at a police station and delivered by courier for a fee, removing the need to visit a local transport ministry office in person.
