Allegedly the main square in Argostoli will be handed back from the contractor to the municipality in about two weeks. Lots of new trees.
Allegedly "the bridge" linking Kefalonia north and south will be officially open to traffic 08 June.Presumably 2017.
QuoteAllegedly the main square in Argostoli will be handed back from the contractor to the municipality in about two weeks. Lots of new trees.I saw pictures of palm tree planting, but not the usual palm trees, these were coconut palms. Will we be issued with hard hats?

I do a lot of walking in the countryside, and after working on this project, I now often find myself stopping to talk to the sheep and make sure they're happy.
Great quote in the Telegraph article, Bry:QuoteI do a lot of walking in the countryside, and after working on this project, I now often find myself stopping to talk to the sheep and make sure they're happy.
Think you're correct there, Misty. BeeTee posted a while back:http://goinggreek.info/index.php?topic=839If you fancy a coconut tree for your garden to remind you of Kef, a 9' tree costs £279.93 on Amazon, a sprouted coconut (shell) comes in at £106.45... did someone mention hard hats?Yep, all coconut palms. You can't buy Phoenix palms here at the moment due to the palm weevil. The full length of the new harbour front area, along the road from Bass Cafe to the Square, plus the Square etc. A few quids worth!
