Greece to host conference on tolerance in the Middle East

The Greek foreign ministry is holding a large international conference in Athens October 18-20 "to save the cultural and religious puzzle of the Middle East", the deputy minister for foreign affairs said. With an eye on the refugee question, and the exodus originating from that region's crisis, the ministry led by Nikos Kotzias is calling political and religious leaders of all denominations and cultures from the Near East and Europe to prevent the mosaic from falling apart, and the consequences from overwhelming even Europe.

The conference, entitled "Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence in the Middle East", has already received the confirmation of 65 personalities in attendance.
