'King of Ruddington' Wilbur the cat set for birthday celebrations

A village is planning birthday celebrations to honour its most beloved resident - a ginger cat named Wilbur.

Widely known as the "King of Ruddington", Wilbur is a fur-miliar sight as he saunters around the Nottinghamshire village getting food and affection from admirers.

Wilbur even has a Facebook page where his fans post photos of him.

His 10th birthday is set to be marked with parties at two of his favourite haunts - a pub and a building society.

How can I steer clear of holiday villa scammers?
https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/holiday-villa-scams-recognise-fake-sites-avoid-a8970176.html

Appears the scammers mainly target Spain, but could happen with Greece

Goldfish flushed down toilet grows to size of small dog in river
Tens of millions of goldfish now live in the Great Lakes, environmentalists say

A goldfish the size of a small dog has been discovered in a river after it survived being flushed down the toilet by its owner.

The 14-inch-long fish was found downstream of a wastewater treatment plant in the Niagara River in New York.

Nigel Farage accused of faking a letter from a 10-year-old Brexiteer whose 'school brainwashes him to be pro-EU'

Nigel Farage has been accused of many things in his time in politics, most of which would make some grown adults die from embarrassment and retreat from public life forever.

However, we're not sure if he'll ever be able to come back from being accused of faking a letter from a 10-year-old boy who claimed to be a Brexiteer and supporter of the 55-year-old MEP.

Farage tweeted a picture of the letter from 'Matthew' on Friday afternoon, where the youngster claimed that his school 'brainwash us to be pro-EU' but him and his 'fellow leaver' mate aren't buying it.

It read (verbatim) as follows:

Dear Nigel,

I'm a ten year old boy and I'm writing to express my gratitude to you and your Party.

Without you the Leave Voters would have nobody to represent their opinions as the majority of MPs in Parliament want to ignore democracy and over turn the referendum result.

At my School they try and brainwash us to be Pro-EU but me and my friend Jim (fellow Leaver) know their tricks.

Many thanks and good luck,

from Matthew

Hm, Nigel does like a good conspiracy theory.

More and more money coming in from abroad for property buys

The inflow of foreign for the acquisition and development of real estate in Greece showed an annual increase of 130 percent in the first quarter of the year, according to data published by the Bank of Greece.

The increase is a clear indication that this year foreign investors will be at the forefront once more of boosting demand for property in Greece.
