British Petroleum signed on Monday an agreement with the Greek state and Greek firm Energean Oil & Gas for the multinational to be the exclusive buyer of the oil output from the Prinos reserves in the northern Aegean for the next six years.

The development has been interpreted as BP’s return to the Greek market in view of expected upcoming developments in the hydrocarbon sector. BP left Greece in 2009, selling its commercial network in the fuel market to Hellenic Petroleum.

Coronation Street actor Bill Roache in court on child rape charges

Coronation Street actor William Roache has arrived for his trial on allegations of historic sexual offences against five girls.

The 81-year-old veteran soap star was arrested at his home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in May 2013 and later charged with two counts of raping a 15-year-old girl in East Lancashire in 1967.

A month later he was additionally charged with five indecent assaults involving four girls aged between 11 or 12 and 16, allegedly committed in the Manchester area between 1965 and 1968.

The world's longest-serving soap actor has not appeared in the programme while the legal proceedings are going on.

The trial at Preston Crown Court is scheduled to last up to four weeks.

Squirrel trashes home leaving £7,000 repair bill
Homeowner feared she had been burgled and ran downstairs to find the squirrel trapped in the front room

Margaret Bousfield, 64, came downstairs in the morning to find the angry rodent had ransacked her living room.

The squirrel had fallen down her chimney and clawed, bitten and soiled her curtains, furniture, sofa and carpets. It had even made a desperate attempt to get out - by scratching through the plastic double-glazing window frames.

Margaret is not sure if it was a red or grey squirrel, adding "it was a black squirrel from the soot".

Dave Lee Travis described as 'opportunist' sex offender

Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis was an "opportunist" sex offender who targeted "vulnerable" young women, a London court has been told.

One young woman, aged 19, had been "assaulted live on Top of the Pops" in 1978, prosecutor Miranda Moore QC said.

The jury was shown footage of the alleged assault as the DJ introduced a song by The Smurfs.

Edit: Unconfirmed, due to my lack of ability to fully grasp the Greek language, but I think the pedestrianisation of Skala main street *may* be included in these projects. If so, be interesting to see when that starts - and is completed
