Low risk of fire again across Greece: http://civilprotection.gr

Good news is the risk of fire should be pretty low for a week or more.

Bad news is, that's due to the likelihood of crap weather

French school makes Muslims and Jews wear red discs
Primary school outrages parents by making non-pork eaters wear red discs around their necks in canteen

A school in central France has provoked outrage for making Muslim and Jewish pupils wear a red disc around their necks at lunchtime so canteen staff would not serve them pork.

The Piedalloues primary school in Auxerre, in Burgundy, gave red discs to non-pork eating pupils and yellow discs to those who do not eat meat.

RAF sergeant in uniform moved by hospital to avoid offending other patients
Mark Prendeville, who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan, was moved out of sight of other patients by staff at a Kent hospital

Aircraft engineer Mark Prendeville was relocated twice by hospital staff who said his uniform “might upset people” because “we have all kinds of different cultures coming in”.

German companies refuse to sell razor-wire for Hungary's anti-refugee fence
CEOs of barbed-wire firms have claimed Hungary is 'misusing' their products

Talat Değer refused the commission, despite knowing it would cost him roughly half a million Euro, claiming the right-wing government was “misusing” the wire.

Razor-wire, unlike slightly barbed wire, is designed to rip and cling onto human clothing and flesh.

His products, used mainly by security firms and some branches of the German government, are “not a bad thing if it prevents crime or stops criminals committing further offences.”

"But the refugees are anything but criminals. They're harmless people who are running for their lives," he said.

Another German firm, which declined to be identified, told Sputnik news it had also refused to make any deliveries to Hungary. “Children, caught in the wire, is a disgrace,” the CEO told reporters.

"..told on two different occasions to stand out of the view of other patients. He was wearing a camouflage combat uniform..."

Sounds like the MOD should get a refund on those uniforms

Amazing and appalling!  :oki:   And I am and always was utterly and totally opposed to the criminal Iraq war and the Afghanistan war in its extended form.  But I'm absolutely in favour of supporting troops injured physically or psychologically however that may be.   And that particularly in wars where our troops were commanded to act illegally.

Sounds like they weren't very effective in that environment, maybe the MOD needs new camouflage gear for hospitals. White coats?
