All has seemed fairly quiet in Lixouri, Sami and Ithaki prior to today's local elections, unlike Argostoli where there's been allegations, misinformation and smears circulating prior to the local elections, mainly from one group, and all rather reminiscent of general elections in the UK. What appears to be fact is that Royal Caribbean International have cancelled three stops to Zakynthos by the Voyager of the Seas which will call into Argostoli instead.

Aberdeenshire amateur side St Machar Thistle AFC 'owning' 51-0 cup defeat

When you prepare to face a team who beat you 19-0 the previous week, the aim is surely to limit the damage this time round. What you don't want is to lose 51-0.

However, that was the fate suffered by St Machar Thistle AFC in a first-round Scottish Amateur Cup tie in Aberdeenshire on Saturday.

Sweet 11-week-old spaniel puppy with six legs dumped in car park

An 11-week-old spaniel puppy with six legs was recently found dumped in a B&M car park.

It’s thought breeders tossed the pup out due to her having two extra legs – and not wanting to foot the vet bills – leaving her to starve and freeze.

The spaniel puppy was found shivering outside the store in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire.
