Scilly Isles seek Pc for the 'most enviable police job in the world'
Whilst crime is low, the candidate might have to deal with seal pups in the high street and arguments over salt

The islands are not renowned as a hotbed of crime but any potential candidate would need to know how to handle a stray seal in the high street or be able to pacify drunken chefs in a row over salt.

Crimes investigated by the officers recently include a goldfish found abandoned on the steps of the police station, a short-sighted horse vandalising cars and a 50-year-old row over a shed.

Fortunately for any potential candidate they will no longer have to share an office with Mowgli the cat - given the honorary title of Deputy Chief Constable - as he has recently retired.

The Birmingham headquarters is known as the Mailbox, and replaces the former Pebble Mill studios. It is home to a number of BBC programmes, including The Archers and the BBC One daytime soap Doctors.

The building has seven “chill-out spaces”, a 1950s-themed American diner and a Japanese Zen garden. Corridors are named after Birmingham streets and photocopiers, vending machines and kitchen equipment are housed in “resource oases”.

One thing Brum has a surfeit of is the pretentious middle class with none jobs in "creative marketing", "IT Consultancy", "HR Development Logistics" etc, etc. all sitting round the "chic" over priced bars and restaurants in the Mail Box and Gas Street Basin twittering on about their holidays in Chamonix and Necker and how much it costs for really good nurseries for Tarquin and Clamydia.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said a 5-euro fee to access state hospitals had been scrapped and 4,500 healthcare workers would be hired, the latest move by his leftist government to ease what it calls a humanitarian crisis in the country.

The police has reportedly located and arrested the fugitive Vicky Stamati at a church nearby the Dromokaitio Psychiatric Hospital, from which she recently escaped. She will be charged with a misdemeanor offense for her escape.
