Over the last 2-3 days Argostoli police have arrested five locals and are looking for three others involved in two separate drugs rings supplying heroin and cannabis on the island. A further 26 people have been identified as customers and various items, including a car, cell phones and scales were confiscated.

Power will be off in the in Eryssos area due to necessary maintenance works between 08:00-14:30 tomorrow.

Unconfirmed but heard Ionian Group ferries will  run on the Sami-Ithaka-Patras route from sometime next month until the end of the season, no decision about a service thereafter.
