Former police officer from West Yorkshire infuriates neighbours with zoo-style 'big cat' enclosure for her domestic felines

A former police officer who has built a zoo-style 'big cat' enclosure for her domestic felines is facing a planning battle after neighbours demanded it is torn down.

Sue Haworth, 53, and husband Richard, 51, spent £10,000 on the 9ft-high cage in their garden so their four “fur babies” had a safe space to play.

Man missing in Zante: Plea after family's 'weeks of heartache'

John Tossell, 73, from Bridgend, did not return from a walk on 17 June, while on the third day of his Zante holiday.

Authorities in Greece spent a week looking for Mr Tossell but called off the search.

Volunteers from the Western Beacons Mountain Rescue team went to Zante and searched for Mr Tossell after £7,000 was raised on a Go Fund Me Page.

But their search was also called off after they failed to find him.

EU gives Greece blimp to monitor migrants

Authorities say European Union border agency Frontex has provided the Greek coast guard with a crewless blimp to help combat illegal immigration and to augment search and rescue operations in the eastern Aegean Sea.

Greece's Shipping Mministry says the 35-meter (115-foot) airship can fly as high as 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) and will be tethered to the ground on the island of Samos, which is close to Turkey's coast.
