Thirty seven new coronavirus cases confirmed on Kefalonia yesterday by EODY, three on Ithaka

Today’s bank rates:
1 €UR = £ 0.8710 GBP
1 €UR = $ 1.1460 USD
£1 GBP = 1.1481 €UR
$1 USD = 0.8726 €UR

Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the
Post Office.
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Ten day weather forecast for Kefalonia:
This is an overall forecast, due to the mountainous terrain the weather can be very localised.

Woman whose 3 young daughters died within span of 3 years in uncertain circumstances arrested

Greek police took in custody a 33-year-old woman in the western port city of Patras on Wednesday on a sole premeditated murder charge, more than two months after her eldest daughter, aged 9, died at a juvenile ICU — her third and last child to die under undetermined circumstances.

All three of the children passed away within a span of three years.

Heard they didn't make it to Kef, at least, not on the day they should've. Apparentlly the 'plane took off from Thes/niki around 23:00 but the pilot still couldn't land at Kef so they bugg---d off back to Blighty. Dunno what happened to the passengers after that - nor what Ryanair charged 'em!
