Albanian army claim they are ready for war with Greece

Reports from Albania claim the Albanian Armed Forces are ready to take on the Greek Army, claiming Greece has provoked Albania in the wake of statements made by former Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, that the Greek Army does not recognise current Greek-Albanian borders.

Among other things, the report titled: “Albanian Army Responds to Greece: Ready for War,” the statement also says, “we will respond to any threat that may come from Greece or even from Serbia.”

Athens’ Top 5 Bookstore Cafes

Anyone who knows anything about Athens will have experienced – either first or second hand – the pressure-free calm of sitting at a cafe for hours on end without being shooed out of your seat so that the business can make more money via turnover.  Add to that a selection of good books to pore over in between upward glances of the world going by, and rain or shine (well perhaps more rain) you’ve got a winning combination.

Locals of Larissa dress their trees with coats for a great cause

Last night the locals of Larissa dressed trees around the city with coats, which will be given to the underprivileged to keep them warm this winter.

An event titled “We Dress Trees with Coats’’ took place last night, Thursday 22ndof November 2018, where people gathered and handed over new and used winter coats that they no longer use to help those in need over the cooler months.

The organiser of the event Giorgos Tranta, who is a high school teacher, had been to Bulgaria last year and seen this great initiative taking place and thought it would be a great idea to start it in his hometown.

Ours has been nigh to useless from the day it was installed.  Very poor signal from the meter to the receiver means either no reading at all or at best only at the closest point to the outside meter cupboard. Now we've switched supplier it doesn't even communicate with the Eon.

A definite disconnect between government, who state - Energy Suppliers must offer every household the option to have a Smart Meter installed by 2020
and the Energy Suppliers who corrupt that message to - the government want every home to install a Smart Meter by 2020

Latest figures indicate a projected saving of £16.7bn (Energy Companies benefit more than consumers) against a projected installation cost of £20bn (borne by consumers alone)
Individually the figures are are £300 - £666 per installation, against an £11 per year average saving - so just 27 to 60 years before households get a return on their investment.

What a bargain!

Around 14,000 smart meters were returned to suppliers from people who wanted to go back to old-style analogue readers according to a Freedom of Information request.
