Lincoln pensioners involved in moped crash in Greece launch £200k claim

Two Lincoln pensioners who survived a serious crash while holidaying in Greece have launched a High Court claim which could see them awarded more than £200,000.

Patricia, 71, and Graham Wright, 70, from Lincoln, were badly injured in the accident in Zakynthos on Monday, July 20 last year.

Both came away from the incident, where the rented moped they were on collided with a car, with head injuries and multiple fractured ribs.

RSPCA in Essex takes in 'guide' guinea pig and her blind sister

A blind guinea pig and her sister - who acts as a guide to help her get around - are in need of a new home.

Ami and Yuki were taken in by the RSPCA's Danaher Animal Home near Braintree, Essex, this month when their owner could no longer care for them.

Ami is completely blind but it "doesn't hinder her at all" with sister Yuki "leading the way and helping to guide her", the charity said.

The six-year-old sisters must be homed together, the RSPCA added.

Facebook apologises for flagging Plymouth Hoe as offensive term
Social media site mistakenly labels posts referring to the seafaring landmark in Devon as misogynistic

Plymouth Hoe is one of the most well-known sites in the UK’s seafaring history, the spot where Sir Francis Drake reputedly finished a game of bowls before heading out to fight the Spanish Armada.

But Facebook has found itself in hot water after challenging some posts from local people who innocently mentioned the Hoe, mistakenly thinking they were using a misogynist term.

Hope their engineering skills are as good as the German bridge which is still standing ;-)
