A Belgian woman in Thesprotia in northern Greece has been found collecting stray dogs and exporting them to owners abroad. The woman, in conjunction with veterinarians, first managed to secure legal permits for the dogs before selling them to Belgians and Germans for 500 euros per dog.

The woman had been previously arrested in Belgium for attempting to transport dozens of dogs into the country.

The distribution of heating oil to homes in Greece will begin on Wednesday.

As a result of the 30 percent reduction in the special consumption tax, heating oil will be available at lower prices than last year.

It is expected that 1 liter of heating fuel will cost around 1.05 euros per liter, compared to 1.28 euros per liter a year ago.

Industry sources said that consumers’ interest in purchasing heating oil so far has been low.

Wonder how much a litre will cost on Kef?

Not sure of the official title but I gather a large majority of municipal councillors voted in favour of naming Kefalonia airport in honour of gymnast Anna Pollatou.

The pic is amazingly gruesome.  And the article is made even worse by the strange fact of the woman referring to said leach as he/him.  :oki:
