Traffic disruption possible in Argostoli up to 17:00 today due to prohibition on wheeled vehicles entering the port area of Ιωάννη Μεταξά/Ioanni Metaxa between Ισραήλ/Israel and Αγνής Μεταξά/Agnis Metaxa. Apparently due to the arrival and stay of a foreign flagged cruise ship. Only ones I'm aware of are the Crown Isis out of Haifa and the Norwegian Star from Venice.

Five hitmen jailed after each hired the other to carry out murder that was never committed
Intended victim agreed to fake his own death

Six people have been jailed after they each hired another hitman to carry out a murder that was never committed.

Tan Youhui, a real estate developer, hired a hitman to kill a business rival for 2m yuan (£220,000), a court in Guangxi, China, heard.

However, the hitman then subcontracted the work to another hitman, who passed it on to another hitman, who apparently gave it to another hitman, who employed another hitman and who in turn engaged yet another hitman.

But instead of carrying out the hit, the final man met the ultimate intended victim, known by his last name Wei, and offered to help him fake his death.

British woman dies in house fire in Glyfada, southern Athens

A 65-year-old British woman died in a fire in her home in the southern Athenian suburb of Glyfada in the early hours of Friday, Greece’s fire service has said.

An investigation into what started the blaze is under way, though initial findings suggest that the 65-year-old may have dropped a lit cigarette after falling asleep on the living room couch.

Greece: Man Falls from Sixth Floor and Walks Away with Only Minor Injuries

ATHENS – A 45-year old man fell off the sixth floor of an apartment building and lived to tell the tale, sustaining only minor injuries. The incident occurred at 10:40 on Friday in the Athens district of Galatsi.

Police said that the man fell off his balcony but his fall was stopped by the awning of a confectionery business housed in the basement of the same building.

Banks to review charging policy

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis obtained the pledge of the country’s banks to review their policy on charges such as credit card fees, cash machine usage, PIN issue and online banking at a meeting on Thursday with their chief executive officers.

Sources say that first up will be National Bank, which is seen scrapping the charge of 18 cents it recently imposed for the printing of mini-statements at cash machines. Also under review will be the 6-euro fee for the renewal of debit cards – normally after five years – as well as the 3-euro commission for the reissue of a PIN if the cardholder has lost or forgotten it and asks for a new one.
