No mention of Kef but changes to subsidies of non-profit air routes being proposed, "Some of the existing routes support airline interests, rather than local residents, the Minister argued". Could possibly have an impact on airport privatisation as well as service provision? Report in tovima

Flu Virus Leaves 44 Dead in Greece So Far

Two more people lost their lives in the past 24 hours from the H1N1 flu virus, raising the death toll in Greece to 44.

At the same time, 106 people are in serious condition in intensive care units throughout the country.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Center (KEELPNO), the extremely low vaccination rate in the population, especially in the two high-risk categories of the chronically ill and health professionals, combined with huge shortages in beds in intensive care units, have turned the flu from seasonal infectious disease to a major threat to public health.

Fire service criticised for buying £300,000 vehicle to rescue obese people
Rising number of obesity related rescues leads fire service to buy specialist truck

A fire service has spent almost £300,000 on new equipment to rescue obese people after a growing number of rescues.

The specially adapted truck with a mounted crane, which is nicknamed The Brute, cost Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service £280,000.

But the service has been criticised for purchasing it as campaigners believe the money would have been better spent elsewhere.

Finally a Study Explains Why Rich and Successful People are Often Dishonest
http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2016/02/finally-a-study-explains-why-rich-and-successful-people-are-often-dishonest/

I *think* what it's saying is that some people need to feel (more) successful (than other people) and they judge their success by the amount of money they have. They're prepared to lie/cheat/steal to make money.

Chinese buy up bottles of fresh air from Canada

I've got some bottles of Kefalonian air, if anyone would like to make a bid for them

(please state whether you want summer air or winter air)

When someone bottled water everyone thought it was ridiculous, now you have Evian. So why not bottle air, asks Leo De Watts

Wife could be jailed for not doing enough housework
Her husband says he has been 'forced to live in conditions with poor hygiene'

A woman from Italy could be jailed for up to six years because she does not do enough housework, according to Italian media.

The 40-year-old, from Sonnino in the Lazio region, is being taken to court by her husband.

He claims that her management of household chores is of a low standard and it has led to the “mistreatment of the family”.
