Seems the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism is allocating 800,000€ to enable the completion of the Myrtos-Fiskardo road restoration. No timescale mentioned.

Bit more on that story:

Quote
A primary school plans to charge parents to watch their children's Nativity play and spend the proceeds on resources to teach foreign language-speaking children English.

The money will be used to pay for bilingual books for the 136 foreign children who attend St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Warndon, Worcs.

The school, which caters for 318 pupils aged between 4-11, has 43.5 per cent who speak English as a second language (EAL).

The children whose second language is English are Polish, Malayalam, Greek, German, Spanish, Slovak, Portuguese, Punjabi, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Tagalog, Filipino, Bengali and Slovenian.

I havn't heard much about damage in Kefalonia, apart from a tree blocking the road in Spartia. Zakynthos seem to have been hit badly. Some info here http://goinggreek.info/index.php?topic=2687.0
I recorded 190 mms rainfall in last couple of days.
