Seems that last Saturday a 62 y-o local was arrested in Katelios for operating a business on the beach without a licence, probably one of the taverna owners and beach loungers.

On Tuesday Kef police arrested a foreign national for illegal stay in Greece and two others for trying to board 'plane using forged documents.

Ithaki seems to be a magnet for illegally chartered yachts: the Italian flagged NONNA TENNA has been detained by Coast Guard, illegally chartered from Levkas for 11,250 Zloty (2,745€) for the period 14-21/07/18.

Scrub fire outside Ratzakli, wonder how many there'll be around there this year.

No-one charged in 9 out of 10 crimes - Home Office

Only 9% of crimes end with suspects being charged or summonsed in England and Wales, Home Office figures suggest.

Strong winds last night, so the usual spate of fires, which all seemed to start about the same time! Big one between Ratzakli and Old Skala keeping the planes busy from first light this morning.
