Two in three Greeks fail to pay all bills on time

Greeks remain the least consistent bill payers in Europe for the second year in a row, according to the annual European Consumer Payment Report compiled by Intrum.

This is neither due to negligence nor attitude, but rather because of most consumers’ inability to meet their day-to-day obligations, such as paying their bills.

Greeks third in super-yacht ownership

Greek shipowners represent the world’s biggest merchant marine fleet, but also the third largest fleet of super-yachts (40 meters and over).

In our case, it would help to have a postman. Letters and bills are stacked up in Poros Post Office. Someone went to collect them recently and I was presented with an insurance reminder dated 29th June.

What about "White Christmas"? Don't know how they have the cheek to charge the licence fee! Just lately we seem to have a job finding anything to watch that doesn't involve blood and gore, sex or swearing. Think we must be a bit pathetic we finish up some evenings watching 24hr BBC news program .Everything is REPEATS !!and it wasn't worth watching first time round. :dunno:

Why populists adore cats – and use them in their political propaganda
Italy’s rightwing deputy prime minister is using cat pictures to soften his anti-migrant posts on Facebook. This is no surprise. The whitewashed cats of the internet are pure phoneys

Mo Salah: Egypt footballer weighs in on cats and dogs row

Football star Mo Salah has spoken out against plans in his home nation of Egypt to export stray animals abroad, amid fears they will be used for food.

"Cats and dogs will not be exported anywhere. This won't happen and can't happen," he tweeted, alongside images of his pet Siamese cats.
