Ithaki coast guard yesterday afternoon transferred from Piso Aetos to Sami a 19 y-o foreign male injured while diving from a tour boat anchored off Marmaka, Ithaka. Initially taken by ambulance from the port to Ithaka Medical Centre, then transferred to hospital on Kef.

First look at new Frasier reboot starring Nicholas Lyndhurst

A first look at the reboot of popular comedy series Frasier has been released ahead of its scheduled airing in October.

Paramount+ announced on Tuesday that the new show, with Kelsey Grammer reprising the titular role as psychiatrist Dr Frasier Crane, will air on Oct 12.

Only Fools And Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst is set to play Frasier’s old college friend-turned-university professor Alan Cornwall, as he joins the 10-episode season.

Seasonal firefighter arrested on Kef arrested following a tip-of from a local shepherd, according to latest on the grapevine. Appears the firefighter / fire lighter, alleged to be a resident of the Sami area, was on patrol with his crew when the driver to stop so he could have a pee. According to the shepherd, the recent Agia Eirini fire broke out very shortly after.

Municipality of Argostoli plans to have two rural tracks surfaced after suffering serious damage during storms: 2,800 metres of track linking the Kampos - Heimoniko areas of Skala and 1,300 metres of track between VIPE - Krania Greenhouses in Argostoli. Width of both roads to be 4.5 metres. Financed by the Rural Development Program with a total budget for the two of 470,000 euros.

Archbishop of America to make official visit to Cephalonia in October

Archbishop Elpidophoros of America is expected to arrive in Cephalonia on October 17, 2023 following the official invitation of Metropolitan Demetrios of Cephalonia to attend the feast of St. Gerasimos. The Feast will take place in the Monastery of St Gerasimos where the Holy Relic of the Saint is kept.
