British holidaymakers will be airlifted out of Greece if it goes bust
Contingency plan is drawn up by ministers over fears banks could run out of money and hotels close

So exclusive it seems only the Sun knows about. Wouldn't be totally surprised though if other media doesn't pick up on it and quote it as fact.

As yet, still no change on the FCO website.

Not sure I've understood this properly but heard the very recently appointed Holy Metropolitan of Cephalonia, Gerasimos Fokas, has passed away suddenly.

Seems the reason the Davgata museum is closed is because the municipality can't spare an employee to work there.

The Daily Express has picked this up. Front page reads 'Families Face Holiday Chaos'.

Here's the link to the Express story online:
Families face holiday CHAOS: Greece euro crisis could wreck travel plans this week

Once you read past the regurgitated 'news' there's this:

Quote
Abta “do not anticipate” tour operators having to move customers to different destinations.

“At present we have no indication that holidaymakers will be disrupted however, as with all destination matters, we will continue to monitor the situation. This is an unusual situation but the industry is experienced in handling unusual situations,” it added.

Thomson and First Choice have said they expect “no impact” on holidaymakers if Greece leaves the euro.

Thomas Cook said it expected the likely devaluation of the Greek currency “could make the country an even more attractive destination.”
