All Greek tour coach owners are now required to apply for a special electronic seal of authenticity, following a recent decision of the Greek Transport Ministry.

The new seal, provided exclusively by the Pan-Hellenic Federation of Tourism Enterprises (GEPOET), certifies the authenticity of the coaches that transfer tourists throughout Greece.

Hellenic Seaplanes will launch their first seaplane flights in Greece as of May 2015, the Greek company’s vice president and general manager, Mihalis Asariotis, recently told the Greek media.

Hellenic Seaplanes had originally planned to establish seaplane connections in Greece as of summer 2014. However, the legislative process proved to be quite complicated and plans had to be put on hold for next year.

Hellenic Seaplanes will initially operate around 10 waterways and mainly service the Sporades island group. The company’s target is for 100 waterways to operate throughout Greece in 2016.
