The Italian government is to spend around €200,000 (£156,000) on a new plinth for Michelangelo's David to protect the statue from earth tremors. The region around Florence has had hundreds of small quakes in recent days, and reports say people near the epicentre of the tremors have chosen to sleep outside in tents and camper vans in case of a stronger earthquake.
I'm sure the British Museum will offer it a home
Look nice in my garden!!
