Sandy beaches, crystal-blue waters and relaxing activities: Best winter escapes

Kefalonia

The busiest place I visited was Antisamos beach... These days, it’s lined with sun beds

Hmm, if the writer has visited Kef I don't think it was in winter.

Greece said it had found no evidence linking people they detained for questioning on Saturday to a foiled Islamist plot to attack Belgian police.

I agree. I tend to take these articles with a pinch of salt. I think it was last week in the Sunday Mail that another writer spoke of the view of Myrtos Beach from the coastal road i.e. the road that has been unusable since the quake in January last year.

Cyberjihadists attack thousands of French websites after Charlie Hebdo massacre

Some 19,000 French websites have come under attack in the days since the bloody assault on the office of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish grocery store last week.

Rear Admiral Arnaud Coustillière, head of the French cyberdefense ministry, said at a press conference Thursday that the scale of the attacks is unprecedented.

By sending a surge of fraudulent internet traffic to targeted websites in what is known as a distributed denial of service (DDoS), the attackers can overload web servers and the websites become temporarily unavailable.

Me too! Usually come across as a plug for a holiday company and in this case the uniquekefalonia.com website looks to be no more than a holding page while the website is designed... makes me wonder if she actually holidayed with uniquekefalonia, or visited Kef at all.

The one that amused me the most was the Mail a few weeks ago who referred to St. Geronimo!

Well, there's lots of pale-faces visiting in the summer

...as well as some 'cowboys'
