Exporters to the UK face tariffs

As of November 1, feta cheese may well incur a levy of 151 euros per 100 kilos, or 1.51 euros per kilo, when it enters Britain, being one of Greece’s main exports to the United Kingdom – unless the scheduled departure of the UK from the European Union does not take place after all.

Moreover, access to the British market not only of feta but also all other Greek farming and agricultural products will not necessarily be a simple proposition, as it is likely additional standards will be required.

Superyachts and bad art: how Mykonos became the party island of the super-rich
The Greek island has long attracted a glamorous clique, but the influx of billionaires has transformed it into a haven of absurd luxury

There’s nowhere to buy a bucket and spade, but you can pick up a €10,000 (£9,000) Gucci clutch handbag or a €250,000 piece of graffiti art. This strip of sand, on the south-west coast of the Greek island of Mykonos, is no ordinary beach.

Seventeen Greek Beaches Say Goodbye to their Blue Flags

According to an announcement by the EEPF, the bathing water quality of the beaches that lost their flags remains at an “excellent” level.

However, following random checks at the 17 beaches, EEPF and international inspectors found serious deficiencies in the mandatory Blue Flag criteria concerning the offered services to bathers and visitors, the safety of the public and lack of actions for the protection of the beaches and coastal environment.

Location: Kefallonia
Beach: Bouka-Paliostafida

Pound worth just 85 euro cents at UK airports as sterling sinks
At Gatwick the pound is at parity with the dollar
https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/pound-euro-exchange-rate-brexit-gatwick-heathrow-gbp-eur-a9026226.html

Due to Brexit uncertainty, apparently. You'd have to be pretty desperate - or pretty daft - to change money at the airport.

Well spotted! Odd, seems to have been taken off the ITV News website. Not sure if this is exactly the same article on the Evening Express site but the headline's the same: What is Lyme disease and how is it carried?

Nasty disease

That explains it, i tried to find it to re post the link, but failed.
I got bit when out with the chainsaw on Kef, went to have a shower and noticed a Tick on my thigh, got the tick off, but ended up with a six inch wide bullseye ring on my thigh, started feeling a bit weird at times, then read up about it, straight to the chemist at Sami for antibiotics, ( anti bio Ticks) anyway i am still here, so they must have worked, still took a while though.

Glad to hear it! There's been a few articles in the UK press over the past couple of years but I haven't come across anything in the English-language Greek media, though I'm sure Greeks must be aware of how serious it can be. Nasty, nasty, nasty.

Russian Instagram influencer found dead with stab wounds stuffed in suitcase at her own Moscow apartment

An Instagram influencer in Russia who amassed tens of thousands of followers has been discovered dead, stuffed in a suitcase in her own Moscow apartment days after posting vacation photos from a trip to the Greek island of Corfu.

Ekaterina Karaglanova's body was found Friday after family members contacted her landlord after not hearing from the 24-year-old in several days.

When the landlord opened the front door of the apartment for the 24-year-old's parents, a large suitcase with Karaglanova's legs sticking out was located in the hallway. The 24-year-old was also reportedly wearing only lace garters and had stab wounds on her cheek and chest areas.
