The first suspicious case detected in Greece.Tourists have been moved to AthensThe first suspected monkeypox case was detected in Greece. Affected was a 29-year-old foreigner who was on vacation on the island of Kefalonia in the Ionian Sea with his partner.According to media reports on Saturday night, British men have skin rashes and other symptoms that are reminiscent of monkeypox.Health officials on Kefalonia, who investigated and evaluated the case, described it as a “monkeypox suspect.”The man will be transferred from Kefalonia to the Aticon Hospital in West Athens tonight and will arrive in the Greek capital on Saturday midnight.Although his partner is asymptomatic, she is considered a “contact” with the suspect. She will also be transferred to the Greek capital by the same ambulance C-130.Atticon Hospital will determine if British tourists are actually infected with the monkeypox virus.
