Nice article! I am heartened to see that steam will return as well! It will do wonders for tourism in the area.

For good measure, steam trains are slated to run along the Borders Railway several times a week in peak season, further boosting tourism – and cheering those who fought to save the line 50 years ago.

Fascinating story and amazing to see £294 million is being spent on it!  The Borders Rail Website is very interesting about all aspects especially the construction.  (Site doesn't work well in FF)
