Minimum Guaranteed Income Trial Period Begins in Greece
The EU Court slammed Greece for failing to provide adequate protection to endangered sea turtles of the caretta caretta species. New regulations aimed at lowering the public sector’s drug costs oblige pharmacists to offer their patients the cheapest version of the medicine containing the necessary active ingredient with offenders facing the termination of their contract with the country’s main healthcare provider, EOPYY.According to the new regulations, which were made public in the Government Gazette, if patients want the expensive, non-generic drug, they will be asked to indicate this preference by placing their signature on the prescription. While EOPYY will cover the entire cost of the generic drug, a patient opting for a more expensive medicine will be obliged to pay the difference.
