Kef police yesterday arrested an 18 year old male for attempted murder after he hit a 56 y-o man over the head with an iron bar during an argument in Argostoli on Thursday night. Assaulted male in an Athens hospital in a serious condition.  Iron bar retrieved from Argostoli harbour by a diver, subsequent search of the accused's home revealed a pair of knuckle-dusters.

Afroditi Theopeftatou, SYRIZA MP for Kef, has requested the government exempt Kefalonia and Ithaka from ENFIA tax for 2015 due to continued hardship resulting from the 2014 'quakes.
