Woman killed by pack of dogs in northern AthensA 68-year-old woman was killed by a pack of dogs in a scrapyard lot in Ano Liosia, northern Athens, on Saturday morning, state broadcaster ERT reported.The woman was attacked by the dogs outside the mobile home where she lived with her 70-year-old partner. The trailer was parked inside a scrapyard, whose owner, aged 76, has been arrested. The dogs appear to belong to the suspect, who had them running loose inside the lot to provide security.

It’s not the same, though. And I’m not just talking about vintage change. This year’s version is made by a different wine producer. It’s also a different blend. Where last year’s was 85% assyrtiko and 15% sauvignon blanc, this one is 85% assyrtiko and 15% chardonnay. This makes for a calmer, smoother and slightly less edgy, assertive wine but it’s still lovely – clean and cool, all lemon and grapefruit, a perfect apéritif or drink it with feta and tomato salad or chicken skewers.Filos Estate Greek Chardonnay 2022, Greece (13%; £8.99)New into Aldi in March, this is a glorious white but it’s not what you expect. Why? Well, it doesn’t really taste like a chardonnay. Instead it tastes very Greek: refreshing and mineral with a bracing seam of white grapefruit. I’d pour this for friends who don’t usually drink chardonnay. And have some seafood to hand as it makes you long for cold carpaccio or even oysters, or a barbecued fish with lemon squeezed over it.
