Kef fire risk 18/05/23: Low

Today’s bank rates:
1 €UR = £0.8950 GBP
1 €UR = $1.1154 USD
£1 GBP = 1.1173 €UR
$1 USD = 0.8965 €UR

Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the
Post Office.
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Ten day weather forecast for Kefalonia:
This is an overall forecast, due to the mountainous terrain the weather can be very localised.

Lonely Staffordshire bull terrier Ruby stuck in Cambridgeshire RSPCA shelter for more than 600 days

A Staffordshire bull terrier which has been in an animal shelter for more than a year and a half "deserves a second chance", according to her carers.

Staff at the RSPCA said they could not understand why the five-year-old Ruby had been overlooked for so long.

She has been at Block Fen Animal Centre for more than 600 days, watching on as other dogs get adopted by families while she remains unclaimed.

Tiffany Saunders, kennel supervisor at the centre, said it had become heartbreaking for staff.

Anyone interested in offering Ruby a home can visit the "find a pet" page on the RSPCA Block Fen website and fill out an application form.
