Tax inspectors shut down gas station that operated illegally for 12 yearsTax inspectors have shut down an illegal gas station in Western Attica that sold €18 million worth of fuel since opening in 2010.An inspection revealed that the filling station did not have an operating license, lacked an input-output monitoring system and issued receipts from a cash register that did not transmit data to the Independent Public Revenue Authority.The inspectors also found an illegal fuel tank on the premises as well as a tanker vehicle that had been illegally converted from a truck. The owner was arrested and faces an administrative fine of more than €150,000.
