Google's machine beats master at ancient game of Go in historic AI breakthrough A computer program developed by Google has beaten a professional player at the ancient strategy game of Go, a potentially-historic breakthrough in the quest to develop artificial intelligence capable of matching humans.DeepMind, a British AI company owned by the internet giant, has developed software that repeatedly beat the European champion of the fiendishly-difficult board game, an advance that has evaded researchers for years and was believed to be a decade away.Go, a Chinese pastime that dates back 2,500 years, is one of the last games in which humans have maintained their superiority over machines.

Words fail me!!Daily we watch the news (half an hour ago)and see these terrible pictures of these desperate people bringing tiny children and babies over from Turkey. All we see is the sheer kindness and generosity of the people of Greece in trying to do their best under appalling circumstances to help these people. I would say that some of the migrants must be totally mad to venture in these dilapidated boats risking everything, but then we don't know what we might be tempted to do if we were a GENUINE refugee. I say nothing about economic migrants they want kicking out to where they have come from. To blame Greece for all these ills is beyond reproach as they have been willing to do everything to help when they have next to nothing to give themselves. About time someone started to seriously take Turkey to task IMHO. They have just stood by whilst local shops have sold all this crap equipment(boats and life belts) to the migrants and people smugglers have had an open invitation to rip them all off. Of course it doesn't suit to criticize Turkey as at the moment they are flavour of the month and have had a nice slice of the EU migrant budget. What for??Wouldn't trust that lot further than I could kick them. Merkel wants kicking into touch as well. If she hadn't opened her big GOB as we say in Yorkshire a lot of this wouldn't have happened. Sorry for the rant but have just watched another load of unfortunate babies fail to make it off Samos !!!
Turkey is now the largest refugee-hosting country in the world with more than 2 million refugees on its soil. It has built a network of 24 camps to house more than a quarter of million refugees.
