Mild tremor hits Corfu

A magnitude 3.9 earthquake shook the Ionian island of Corfu on Friday morning, as reported by the Geodynamic Institute in Athens. No injuries or damage were reported.

Driving under the influence still an issue, survey shows

Although there has been a significant decline since 2000 in fatal accidents due to driving under the influence of alcohol, almost one in two respondents (44%) said in a recent nationwide survey of 2,191 people conducted by Ierax Analytix for the EUROKTEO MOT center in Thessaloniki that they have driven while inebriated at least once.

Director, Four Workers at Greek Island Tax Office Charged With Bribery

In the early hours of this morning a 49 y-o foreign male passenger on a professional tour boat at anchor in Kioni bay was involved in an incident that resulted in his transfer to the port by boat and then to a local nursing clinic. No serious injury involved.

Vegan whipped cream recalled over fears it may contain milk

A vegan whipped cream spray has been recalled from the market over fears that it may contain milk.

The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) said it had ordered the recall of the Schlagfix brand of “Schlagcreme vegan spray topping” because, while the Greek label describes the product as “lactose-free, gluten-free, soy-free,” the original English label states “may contain traces of milk.”
