Something I didn't think happened on Kefalonia: yesterday morning the municipality's Deputy Director of Technical Services, Theodoros Kalogeroporos, was taken to hospital after being physically attacked in his Argostoli office by two unknown hooded assailants. Two men, one believed to be Greek and one said to be a foreign national, were later arrested by police and coast guard officers in Poros port as they awaited the ferry departure. Reason for attack so far unknown. Incident condemned by island's political parties and unions.
